A DJ since 1995, Asya’s career started early in 1995 when she visited a night club for the first time in her life – CLUB MASTER (Moscow). She remembered this moment as one where something moved inside her soul; something asked to come out of her... It was music. Three months later, she found herself two turntables and a DJ mixer, and began to study.

She got lessons and a lot of advice from Russia’s first DJs. She spent the year playing wherever she could in order to polish her skills, and her reputation. And, before the end of 1995, she played her first professional show at DOJ, a nightclub in Moscow.

In the period from mid 1996 to mid 1997 she performed in many Moscow nightclubs: UNIVERSITETSKIY, ROBOTECH, CHANCE, MDM, MASTER, MANHATTAN-EXPRESS and others. During this period she obtained good experience, developed her own approach to music styles and different schools. Her name began to appear on flyers of the leading night clubs in Moscow, as well as in other cities.

Since 1997, she has toured countless other cities in Russia, including Tula, Talyati, Barnaul, Novosibirsk, Vladimir, and Saratov. 

She greeted the New Year of 1998, in the central square of Smolensk, by playing the open air New Year Party to a crowd of more than 7,000 people. 

In 1998/1999 she continued to tour Russia, and began to get booked for events in the cities of former USSR republics including Tashkent, Minsk, Alma-A-Ata, and Tbilisi.

In 1999, Asya gets her first residence at STUDIO -- “the first luxury night club in Moscow” (Awarded Best Moscow Night Club 1999 and 2000). She remained with her residence until the club’s reconstruction into a casino at the end of 2001.

From 1999 to current, she has played in all of the leading clubs of Moscow: MOST, MINISTRY, BYBLOS, VIRUS, ZEPPELIN, HEARTS, A-PRIORI, JET SET, SHAMBALA, ZIMA, LETO and others. She also travels across the whole of Russia, and CIS countries. Named as the best Female DJ in Russia, she has visited several cities, including Sochi, Ekaterinburg, Syktyvkar, Kiev, Odessa, Tbilisi.

In 2000, GARAGE (one of the oldest clubs of Moscow) took Asya as resident. There she plays alongside DJ OJO, DJ GRAD, DJ TEACHER, as well as with invited guests from abroad such as LADY DEE (Chicago), JOHN WILLIAMS (UK), and ATFC.

In 2001, Asya interviews for the first time on MUZ-TV, Russia’s music TV channel.

March 2002: CLUB HOUSE the magazine about fashion, nightlife and music calls her “a true specialist and positive ‘club hero’ of Moscow Nightlife at the beginning of the 21st century”.

July 13th and 14th, 2002: ASYA performed at “2002 Sun Dance Festival” in Estonia (Tallinn) with more than 270 DJ’s from different countries, and a crowd of over 30,000 people. She was the only Moscow DJ in the same line up with such invited guests as Roger Sanches, Simon Dunmore (Defected), Rulers of the Deep (Defected), Rob Di Stefano, Danny Howells, and DJ Dozia.

On November 7th of 2002, seven of the leading Moscow night clubs organised a single big party with best DJs in Moscow. Including DJ Asya, who opened the 5,000 person event.

At the beginning of 2003, she signed a contract with her agency, CiscoProd, and travelled twice to France. She played Le Bazar (Marseille) known for booking top DJs, and Concorde de Atlantique (Paris). At the party dedicated to the 20th anniversary of “APOCALYPSE” (in Corsica) she was lined up with MC ADRIAN (Radio FG Paris), PAUL JOHNSON and his “Doo Doo Wap” tour.

At the end of 2003, Asya was selected as the first Russian DJ to enter the prestigious RED BULL MUSIC ACADEMY, which was held in Cape Town, South Africa. This exclusive, two week school, is for DJ’s from all over the world to meet in order to exchange ideas and experiences, and to attend workshops with some of the founders of modern dance music. 

By playing an exclusive set at the opening of the first official Fashion TV club and restaurant in Russia – FC Lounge (St. Petersburg; March 2004) and participating in the three day opening party for the opening of the first Pacha Club in the Middle East (Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt; May 2004) this has become “the year of premier parties” for Asya.

2004 became the year of the Red Bull Music Academy to Russia. She is official representative of the RBMA in Russia. 

End of 2004 she launches her own program "Jazzy House" on the most glamour radio station in Moscow – Radio Jazz (89.1FM).

Asya’s extensive experience as a DJ (and her background with live instruments such as the piano, harp, and guitar) allow her to blend club style house, garage, and progressive into a passionate mix that is full of charm and elegance. And while she has the ability to adapt her style to nearly any room, she will always deliver a set that is very uniquely “Asya”.
